Spring is finally here in Utah!

The fishing season is just beginning to heat up with the Blue Wing Olive hatch that is now happening on most of our streams! This is the first major hatch of the warmer months that makes the trout go Crazy! Fishing will be great on the Green, Provo, and many of the small streams in the area.

Recent Guide Trips to Calder Reservoir and Tiger Trout Lake

Fishing was very good at Calder and we were able to land many fat, hard fighting rainbows. These fish were cruising the shallows munching on Chrono’s and damsel fly nymphs. Fishing with Jim, Dave, and their dog Buddy was a blast and the weather was wonderful as well.

Fishing at the Tiger Trout Lake was more challenging as always, but were were still able to land some really nice tigers and some amazingly colored up Cutts. Their colors were so bright as they prepare to spawn in the next few weeks. We fished Chrono’s and scuds tight to the bank and were able to have a great day. We even hooked a true trophy that gave us everything, but the picture as it spit the hook after a 15 minute battle.
